Inspiration and my Personal Legend
In his book, The Alchemist, author Paulo Coelho reveals the idea of a personal legend. He says that every human being has a personal legend-something you have always wanted to accomplish. He explains that when we are young, we know what our personal legend is. Everything is clear and possible, and we are not afraid to dream and desire for everything we would like to see happen in our lives. But...as time goes by, we begin to become convinced that our personal legend is no longer obtainable, so we settle for less than we are destined for.
Since I was a little girl, music has always been a huge passion of mine. I realized at a young age that music had a magical energy that brought people together and allowed them to connect with others. Music was not simply a catchy melody but something much deeper. It was a feeling...an art form, a universal language.
I have discovered my personal legend. My dream is to work in the music industry, finding talent and doing A&R work, helping others along the way. Now that I have finished college, I have reached the point in my life where "things" are trying to convince me that my dream is just that...a dream. I know that being successful in this industry takes a lot of hard work and isn't easy, but I am prepared. Besides, the best things in life don't always come easy. So, watch out world!!! With faith in God, determination, passion and hard work, I will achieve my personal legend...and more!
Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!"
